Today, Nike and Cristiano Ronaldo announced the new agreement for a long-term partnership in Michael Jordan style. Ronaldo’s first contract with Nike was signed in 2003 and since then the Portuguese player wore more than 60 pairs of Mercurial, scoring goals and building a really successful career. The same player showed his happiness about the new agreement and stated: “I have a great relationship with this brand and I have a lot of friends in the company. We work as a family. I feel like this is my brand.”

This agreement was publicly released just a few days after the presentation of the new shoe-model (CR7 Chapter 3) dedicated to the Portuguese star. Spanish media reported that Ronaldo’s contract is similar to the one that Michael Jordan signed years ago, substantially a lifetime contract. Rumors are also stating that Nike offered to Ronaldo the same amount of money that the Portuguese star is earning at Real Madrid €20 million per year.
