Roma can now count on a new commercial partnership. Nissan is the new premium sponsor of Roma with the goal of spreading electrical mobility in Italy, sharing principles like sustainability, climate and environment protection.

Nissan and Roma signed this deal on the grounds for a collaboration aiming towards increasing awareness about zero emission mobility, starting from the Roma players and staff through providing zero emission Leaf vehicles.

Umberto Gandini, managing director of the club, wanted to express his satisfaction about the opportunity to collaborate with a prestigious brand that has long been working in the world of football: “We are proud to welcome Nissan among the partners of the Giallorossi. Nissan is, indeed, a prestigious brand with which we share the commitment to offer always new and advanced products to satisfy a wider audience, while respecting the environment at the same time. This new collaboration gives us the opportunity to demonstrate, once again, how our club is planning to stay at the highest sporting and commercial levels. “

As of now, the agreement is scheduled to last until the end of the season, but the new manager of Roma opened up about the possibility of an even more meaningful partnership in the future with Nissan: “We are looking for the right partner to become the main sponsor. The research has already started and that’s one our primary goals for the club. Partners like Nissan are definitely in line with our expectations. This is a brand new agreement, and Nissan is a worldwide recognized brand, but we will also look at other opportunities.”

Also Bruno Mattucci, CEO at Nissan Italy, did not rule out about an improvement of the current partnership, perhaps in view of the completion of the new stadium if the project were to be successful: “The hypothesis of a Nissan Stadium would make me the happiest man in the world. The stadium is a get-together place and for Nissan this would mean trying to create an experience.”
