Italian football finance and business experts Calcio e Finanza have signed up as official media partners of World Football Summit’s WFS Europe, which takes place at Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano from 22-23 September.

The partnership will see Calcio e Finanza independently deliver its world-class coverage of WFS Europe, bringing a 360 degree view of the event to its audience.

Calcio e Finanza is Italy’s first – and premier – web magazine dedicated to the economic, financial and management sectors of Italian and international football, aimed at fans and professionals alike.

World Football Summit director Jan Alessie believes that Calcio e Finanza’s reporting, paired with World Football Summit’s ability as an industry-leading platform to bring together stakeholders from every corner of the planet, makes the partnership a perfect match.

“We’re excited to have Calcio e Finanza join us as media partners of WFS Europe and are looking forward to seeing their excellent coverage of the event,” said Alessie.

“Calcio e Finanza’s reporting is unrivalled in Italy, providing in-depth analysis and news coverage of the inner workings of the business of Italian and international football. With a world-class roster of speakers descending on WFS Europe from every area of the industry, Calcio e Finanza readers should expect some superb content to be heading their way.”

“We’re incredibly pleased and proud to become media partners of WFS Europe in Madrid this September. World Football Summit is Europe’s premier event when it comes to the finances and economics of football and that’s why we’re excited to cover WFS Europe in its entirety. We’re sure that it will shine a new light on the current financial climate of European football since the pandemic,” said Luciano Mondellini, Senior Partner and Editor at Calcio e Finanza.

“We would also like to congratulate World Football Summit directors Jan Alessie and Marian Otamendi and their whole team for the excellent and unrivalled panels that they manage to gather and of course we’re looking forward to covering the event on the ground in Madrid.”

This year’s WFS Europe event will be its first at the Wanda Metropolitano – the home of LaLiga champions Atletico Madrid and also mark its hybrid debut.

Not only will the Wanda Metropolitano open its iconic doors to the fifth edition of WFS Europe from 22-23 September to welcome 600 in-person attendees to the stadium, but attendees will also be able to tune-in from all over the world via the World Football Summit app.

More than 100 industry leading speakers will take to the stage both physically and virtually, discussing the most pressing issues in football over the two-days – attracting 200+ club representatives and 150+ journalists from more than 120 countries across the world.

WFS Europe already has a stellar list of speakers lined up, including headline names such as LaLiga president Javier Tebas, Cameroon and Barcelona legend Samuel Eto’o, Atlético Madrid CEO Miguel Ángel Gil, Kate Johnson from Google, FIFA’s Ornella Desiree Bellia, and S4 Capital founder Sir Martin Sorrell.

WFS Europe will deliver the safest possible experience while on the ground, while also enabling those attendees to network face-to-face for the first time in far too long. Those joining online will also be able to interact and engage with every single panel, network with other guests through the World Football Summit app and explore the virtual exhibition area; in real-time, and on-demand.
