According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, the captain and NO.10 of the Red Devils is the highest paid player in the Premier League. The former-Everton striker continued his successful career at Manchester United becoming a planetary star who earns 300,000 pounds per week. Wayne Rooney’s overall yearly salary is slightly more than 15 million pounds (around 17 mln euros). The striker of Manchester United is, therefore, leading the special standings of the highest paid players in the Premier League.

Behind Rooney there are other great players such as Sergio Aguero and Cesc Fabregas but it is interesting to know that a former Inter midfielder is included in position No.4 of this ranking. The most surprising name on this list is definitely that of Christian Benteke.
