DAZN, the revolutionary live and on-demand sport service, announced that it will be expanding into its fifth territory – Canada.

DAZN has recently secured rights to Champions League in Germany with Sky.

Here are the details as per their press release:

It was only last year that UK-based company DAZN first exploded onto the scene launching its game-changing sport service in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan. Founded on the belief that premium sport should be more accessible and more affordable to fans, DAZN has had a significant and growing impact on the global sport broadcasting industry ever since.

Following the news announced today, DAZN will be the only place Canadians can access NFL Game Pass, which includes every live NFL game of the 2017 season – pre-season, regular season, the playoffs and the Super Bowl. As the new home of NFL Game Pass, which includes all Sunday games previously offered in NFL Sunday Ticket, and NFL RedZone, DAZN will have both live and on-demand NFL coverage with no blackouts meaning fans will never have to miss another epic touchdown, field goal or interception.

DAZN will also provide access to other sports from top leagues and competitions around the world. Monthly and annual packages will be available. Sports fans will be able to subscribe for $20 CAD a month or annually for the limited introductory price of $150 CAD. In addition, all subscribers will get 30 days free.

James Rushton, CEO at DAZN:

“I am personally very proud to be bringing DAZN to Canada, and the whole company is extremely excited about our first venture into North America. We know that for Canadians sport is a way of life, they are crazy about it and have had to put up with a costly experience for some time. DAZN is designed to put fans first, so we’re confident fans in Canada will enjoy our product and proposition.”

With more and more consumers cutting the cord on traditional pay TV, DAZN provides fans with a flexible way to get their fix of sport. Whether they want to watch it at home on their TV or on the go on their mobile, DAZN is available on most connected devices making it quick and easy to access. Fans also have the choice to watch sport live or on-demand, with full-length replays and highlights available, plus original programming from DAZN’s leading production team.

DAZN launched in European territories Germany, Austria and Switzerland in August 2016 with a strong European football and US sport proposition that included Premier League, La Liga, NBA and NFL. Later that month it then expanded to Japan. At the start of 2017, DAZN became the home of Japan’s domestic competition, the J.League, and the record-breaking 10-year deal has got off to a successful start. For the first time ever, DAZN showed all matches from J1, J2 and J3 live which meant more fans around the country could watch their favourite teams in action. Furthermore, production levels across all divisions significantly increased, with more cameras and more angles available than ever before. Through this improved awareness and higher engagement with fans, stadium attendances have grown exponentially month on month.

The awareness of DAZN and its success in all territories have also led to DAZN securing new rights in Germany, Austria and Japan to broadcast the UEFA Champions League from the 2018/19 season. Bundesliga highlights also join the line up in Germany, Austria and Switzerland cementing DAZN as the true home of European football.
