Young Italian non-professional players will be able to enroll in the selections to be athletes in American colleges and get an annual scholarship worth $35,000 thanks to the partnership between Wyscout and USA College Sports.

In recent years, USA College Sport has brought dozens of Serie D students to American universities as well as youth team kids from different clubs.

“We are talking about those guys who understood they could not get to play in Serie A or B but with good talent to follow a different path – said Dejan Bregasi, CEO of USA College Sport. We deal with sports scholarships, having built over the years an unprecedented network of contacts in the American university landscape. We have relationships with 2,000 different universities and we can communicate with more than 9,168 coaches of 14 different sports.

Selection camps will begin in June in the following cities:

  • June 1st – Genova;
  • June 3rd – Milan;
  • June 4th – Padua;
  • June 6th – Rome;
  • June 8th – Bari;
  • June 11th – Tirana.

American coaches will be there to select the most valuable kids. Players will be included in the online platform Wyscout used by observers all over the world in a section devoted to American Collegiate soccer. Wyscout has been enthusiastic about the idea of taking part in this initiative.

This project seemed to be immediately very interesting because it offers many kids and their families the unique opportunity to continue to practice soccer in a professional way as well as to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in an American university – said the CEO Atteo Campodonico. But this project also offers US recruiters opportunities to view young candidates directly online on our platform.

The requirements for taking part in the selections are the following:

  • Under 18 years of age;
  • Not registered as PRO players;
  • Those born in 1997 must be enrolled in college after finishing high school;
  • Those born in 2000-1999-1998 must be regularly enrolled in a higher education institution.

Anyone interested in enrolling or receiving more information about the project can visit usacollegesport.com or write them an e-mail.
