Patrick Schick is very close to signing a long term contract with Roma. The giallorossi and Sampdoria have found an agreement for the acquisition of the 21-year old talented striker.

As soon as all the mandatory documents will be signed, Schick will be officially considered a new Roma player. The Czech striker will travel to Rome this evening. His medical examinations are scheduled for tomorrow. After these steps, the youngster will join Eusebio Di Francesco’s crew.

Roma will get the player on loan (around €5 million) with an obligation to buy at a later date for €33m. Patrick Schick will earn €2.3 million a season bonus included.

Sampdoria’s President Massimo Ferrero expressed his happiness for this deal with his beloved team. Right after the meeting with Roma’s general manager Baldissoni and sporting director Monchi, Ferrero stated:

“If the player is in good shape and they will let him play in the right position, Schick will be a Roma player. We don’t have to think always about money. This is a phenomenal footballer.

Do you guy remember Beckenbauer? He is better than him.

I’m glad Schick goes to Roma. He is Roman and a ‘romanista’.

It’s a shock to have given him away.

I was keen to take him there. The player is very happy and I am happy too. But the important thing is that Roma treats him well because he’s a jewel.
